| Message | Hi Darren, I'm an aspiring fimmaker in Vancouver, Canada, and I was just mentioning to my girlfriend last night that the movie 'The Fountain' was probably the most profound & brilliant movie I have ever watched. I didn't know you were the director of Fountain until recently (today), nor did I know you directed Requiem and Pi. Matters of fact, rather than flaunting ignorance. hehe I'm 32 and working on my first micro-budget film entitled 'Brother 12', loosely based on real events. Did I mention my budget of $500? My point being - I'm going to buy your movies and study them inside and out. I'll see if I can get my hands on your earliest films as well, just as a marker for my films to live up to. I should be submitting my first film to Vancouver Film Festival, so who knows? Anyways, take care and keep loving the art and trust your instincts. cheers and beers, Mike Jensen |

| Message | BIG! BIG!! CONGRATS on 'The Wrestler's' reception at Venice. I can't even tell you how psyched I am for that movie now. I saw the news on CNN.com this morning and it made my day. I wish 'The Fountain' would have had the same critical reaction, but I'm SOO HAPPY to see you bouncing back in such a big way. The only thing I have left to say now is to get that movie out ASAP! Or at least get it screened at Chicago next month and I promise you I will be there and I will fill as many seats as I can. Congrats again, you deserve it!!!! Adam Sunstrom Appleton, Wisconsin |

| Message | I only want to say you that 'The Fountain' is one of the ten better films ever made in the history of cinema. Your whole filmography is amazing, i really enjoy your films and i 'm very sorry my english is very bad and i can't express what i really feel about your work. You are one of my favourite filmakers, as Kubrick and Lynch. Thank you Darren. Thank you very much |
