MessageDarren, my name is Roger Vargas (Rogelio). I always wanted to get in touch with you. I'm a fan of your films (Requiem for a Dream - heck of a film). I also went to High School w/ you. Edward R. Murrow, class of 1987. I remembered you at Murrow. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm a fan and to be associated with you in some form or shape. :-) Best of luck and keep on making great films. Looking forward. Be well and much success.

Kindest wishes,
Rogelio Vargas (Roger)

MessageJust wanted to tell you how much I love The Fountain. I saw it in theaters when it first came out and still watch it from time to time. It really is one of the only movies I'v ever seen that makes me feel something, like art should. I'm so glad you made this movie, despite al the setbacks you seemed to have at first. In my opinion, movies are the ultimate art form, which encompass all aspects of art (painting, photography, music, acting, poetry, etc.)...this movie has all of this. If this isn't art nothing else is. Please keep doing what you're doing and never compromise for anyone else.
