| Message | I would just like to write you and let you know how much I appreciate your work. You go against the grain and challenge viewers to think, listen, and feel. By doing that it makes viewers like me appreciate the end product that much more. Pi was a very awesome start to a wonderful career. Creepy and personal. You take a small budget and work wonders with dialouge and suspense. Requiem for a Dream was a very personal and powerful film. One of my top five favorite films. It challenged viewers to truely look at the links people will go in search of their dreams and how far off course we get when we go about our dreams the wrong way. It's violent, abrasive, and yet beautiful. It's a film we can learn and grow from. And of course The Fountain. I went to see this film with my now ex wife and I believe we may have been the only ones in the room to actually understand it. More than anything I feel like the film can be relatable in many different ways, but personally I felt that it's true focus was on what we will do for love and how losing someone you love is the most difficult journey you'll ever take and one that never really ends. Being divorced and loving the woman who left me very much I would have to say that its a idea that really hits home. You should be really proud for the work you've done, and I would like to say that on December 17th I'll be at a theater watching The Wrestler. While watching the trailer I was in tears. Thank You for making great films. |
