MessageGreat site, I have a t-shirt design on this subject as well. I'm just concerned about the image on the top of this page with the swastika in the ring. I understand the concept, but my concern is that the swastika was hijacked by Hitler, though other countries and cultures use the symbol as well.

The swastika means different things to different cultures and Buddhists. I'm concerned that it may be mis representing the swastika's true meaning and alienate other's.

religionfacts.com/buddhism/symbols/swastika.htm

"The swastika is an ancient symbol found worldwide, but it is especially common in India. It can be seen in the art of the Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Celts, Native Americans, and Persians as well Hindus, Jains and Buddhists.

The swastika's Indian name comes the Sanskrit word svasti, meaning good fortune, luck and well being. " smilie

Message<<Police in India have detained more than 100 Tibetan refugees who were trying to march to the Chinese border..>>BBC source.
The border police would have them stopped, of course, because they have no right to go to Tibet, their stolen motherland, safely, but the question is: why India so scared?
Bcs they are slaves too to China's power.

MessageChina will one day have to learn to respect the human inalienable rights of all peoples everywhere in the world.

Beijing is responsible for the suffering and deaths of hundreds of thousands of its own people (and indirectly in Darfur), and especially in Tibet - a country which had its own currency, flag, and national charter prior to the brutal Chinese invasion and occupation.

Beijing's might-makes-right policy of torturing and killing anyone who does not surrender to their heavy-handed oppression should be confronted and stopped by the international community. Such brutal policies make China the real odd-man-out in today's world, which is more and more concerned with preserving human rights. The billions of ordinary citizens in the world know and abhor what China is doing, though we are unable to convince out economic-minded governments to react responsibly. Bad form, Beijing. You are a real monster in the eyes of humanity.

The Human Rights Torch Relay is an international campaign that seeks to bring an end to all human rights abuses against the people of China, while highlighting the persecution of Falun Gong - the most severely persecuted group in China today. During the run up to the 2008 Olympics, the HRTR will host events in 37 countries across six continents to present its message: The Olympics and crimes against humanity cannot coexist in China.
