MessageChina's "One World One Dream" should mean that their soldiers cease killing Tibetans.

Fact: Between 1966-1976, six-thousand holy sites in Tibet were destroyed by CCP Red Guards. Only twenty temples survived. Monks were given the option: Renounce Buddhism or take a bullet in the back of the head.

Today, most "monks" you see in Tibet are children - most elders were killed off during the Cultural Revolution.

NEWS: Nobel Peace Prize Winner Desmond Tutu and leaders from Britain, Germany and Canada will boycott the Opening Ceremony in Beijing. UN Sec. Gen. Ban ki Mun will also not attend. Many are sure to follow.

Apparently, whole world is fed up with China's bullying.

MessageHolding the Olympic games in Beijing, the seat of a government which does not uphold basic human rights and civil liberties, totally goes against the spirit of the Olympics. The games should be a celebration of human ability and dignity; the host city should be a place that is democratic and consistent with the origin of the games. China's oppression of Tibet and unfounded claim on Taiwan clashes with one of the basic principles of the Olympic games-- that every man/woman should have the right to self-determination and the opportunity to triumph.

MessageI, and my family will not watch the China Olympic games,or purchase anything related to them. Images of saffron clad monks being clubbed by Chinese "enforcers" do not project the spirit of the Olympic games or respect for humanity. I personally hope the whole enterprise is a huge failure. If our government officials had any guts,we would be non participants. I also put items made in China right back down on the shelves and purchase something else. Our personal choices have power and do make a difference.

MessageThe Olympics were given to China for political reasons ( i.e. China will open up, human rights will improve, etc. ), so it is quite hypocritical now to say that politics and the Olympics shouldn't mix.

China has used the Games as a means to get rid of any political opposition at home, so the more I hear that there should be no boycott, the more killing there will be, because China wants to make sure that the Olympics are quiet.

The more we wait for a boycott, the more innocent people will be killed.

Sponsors beware ! I will not watch these Bloody Games on TV !
