| Message | When I was at college, I used to play the 20 Golden Greats album in a residence kitchen every night. One night I didn't play it. I got complaints from the kitchen down the corridor. That sums up the music for me, if you don't play it you miss it. I recall all sorts of Shadows imitators in Dorset growing up. When I had the opportunity I attended a Golden Greats concert in the ABC Birmingham. This is the concert I enjoyed the most in my entire life, and I have been to a few. Posted 5 stars for the compilation albums on Amazon.com, the U.S.A don't know what they are missing. Thanks for everything, I love Shadows music, and also the singing of a wonderful Australian lady called Judy Durham. Australia is certainly a blessed country. Thanks for all the wonderful music. My favorite track is Going Home. How you may a guitar resonate like the bagpipes beats me. |

| Message | I have been a fan of the shads and hank from about 1960 when iwas 12 years old, when i first heard that sound of apache i was hooked. One thing has always annoyed me and that is the constant comments that clapton, hendrix ect,ect are guitar gods, well that just proves that there is somebody greater than god, because hank marvin is gods god, they where all influenced by him. |

| Message | I remember Old Rutherford School - Hank on his delivery bicycle - Him learning to play "Raunchy" at Rutherford college in Bath Lane.Just listened to the Shadows singing "True Love Ways" and it caused a wee sad but happy remember moment!! |
