| Message | I served in V-1 division from Jan. 1966 thru Aug. 1967. Started as a Blue Shirt and was a Flight Deck Director when I left the ship in Aug., 67. on an early out to go back to school. Great to find this site and read some of the guestbook comments. Found 3 people I served with in V-1 division. Evans, Olinick and Clauser. Hey Chuck, didn't you help me write that letter for my early out to go back to school? [email protected] |

| Message | My dad was on this ship between 62 and 65. He has told me thousands of stories and ofcourse the one that you all seem to remember best was the elevator accident, he was friends with the few men that went down with it and was about to step on it himself but instinctivly decided not too, If any one remembers him please contact me at my email address [email protected] he would love to catch up and talk to old friends i belive he was V3 and worked the flight deck. |
