Message	My father was aboard Randolph in the early 60s as a boilerman first class. He has never really spoken much about his time in the Navy. I just finished reading the accounts of the collision with Viscountess. I'm not sure if he was there, but I can tell you that I'm very proud of my father. He came here from Poland in the 50s & became a US citizen. His childhood had to have been awful, as he spent most of it in a Nazi concentration camp. I'm sure he was very honered to serve on Randolph. I salute all who served.

Message	Correction on my first posting. I was assignned to HS 9 not 5. Afew of us came over from HS 5 and HS 11. I worked in the airframe shop,flight deck troubleshooter and also spent some time on loan to V6 Div. Does anyone remember baking hams in the welding rod oven? I started that crazy stuff! Message	I made 2 deployments aboard USS RANDOLPH. The last cruise was to northern europe on a nato exercise. I was with HS 5 great time lots of fine memories of the ship and crew!
