| Message | Charlie Simpson it took me awhile to remember you but I did you and I think his name was fisher were both from Philly I am from Lancaster I dropped you guys off in philly one week end that I was heading home. Don't know if you recall this or not I had a 63 blue ford at the time.I think you guys got out before me I got out in 68 but was in reserves until my discharge in 71. | Message | I served on the RANDOLPH from 64 to 67 in the B div. I was assign to #3 fire room. Like to hear from any BROTHER snipe.I would to thank my shipmates who gave me the ship's insigna. |

| Message | I boarded the Randolph in August 1967 out of AC A School in NAS Glynco Georgia. I stayed aboard until decommisioning in 1968 in the Boston Naval shipyard. A rude awakening, to say the least. I was sent to OC division. Had a great time until I was sent messcooking. I remember some of the names in the CATCC, Ron Knautz, Ron Stevens, Chief Cenf, Rex Bowman, Bob Deabler, George Sico, Norm Pitsos, LCDR Katzman, CMDR Wakeman. After decommision, it was off to the Yorktown. |

| Message | I was an HM3 in H Division from Dec 65-Jul 67 on Flight Deck and Physical Exam Dept. Had Medical Duty with Shore Patrol during the 66 North Atlantic Cruise. |

| Message | Great ship and a great crew.I came aboard in Naples in 1958 and left in March 1962. Lots of hours in W Division and on bridge watches including having the watch for two capsule recoveries. Yes, the Liberty capsule sank but was finally recovered roughly 50 years later. I took movies of the capsule descending but it looked like a fly spec due to the distance. Captain Kearns was a terrific captain (one of four I served under)but had bad luck with damage to the props in a shallow anchorage. "Clams are coming in the intakes!", was the first hint of the trouble from engineering. I have many fond memories and always wondered what life would have provided if I had stayed on in the Navy. |
