MessageServed aboard the RANDOLPH 1966-1968. Worked in S-2 Div. as a cook and then ran Cold Storage Provisions Issue. Had a great time on Med cruise. Met and made many wonderful friends. What a GREAT ship the USS RANDOLPH-CVS 15. Still living in Co. Springs, Co. Love to hear from anyone in S-2 around that time.

MessageI served on the Randolph from 1959 to 1961 as an Aerographers Mate. She was a great ship and I was proud to be a small part of her history.
This is a great site, thank you for all of your work.

MessageMy dad Aaron Hasselbusch served on the Randolph in the mid 1960's. We owe him and everyone who has served our country a great amount of respect. We also need to make people aware that the ship existed and that it is part of American History. Unfortunatly it is not recognized in any history books. Someone needs to write a book about the Randolph and publish it so our parents and grandparents whom faught on the ship will never be forgotten.

MessageMy dad was a communications specialist on the Randolph from the beginning. I remember the stories of her shakedown cruise and battles in the Pacific. He detailed the horror stories of battles and Kamakazies. I have an ashtray that's a replica made of peuter, as well as an extensive scrapbook with photos, stories and even Christmas day menues of the Randolph during WWII. Because of all the stories he told, I feel like I knew her myself.
