| Message | Who suggested that McCoy is a GM? Wasn't the last time Allison was close to a point a game player in '91 or 92? Did he not spend 5 or 6 years on the Blazers and collected a total of 0 points? His concussions, neck problems, and terrible play have illiminated him from any hockey discussion. No one in an NHL front office even has his name on a blackboard anywhere. He is done forever.The fact that Jagr turned down 10 million per year to play in Siberia speaks volumes of his desire to be an impact NHL player. |

| Message | Goon - I'm the editor not a GM. On Recchi - didn't he have a certain possibility of playing with players last season with the names of . . . let me see . . . say Crosby and Malkin?! Both Jagr and Allison could return someday and would make a serious attempt at point per game production were they to come back. Recchi nor Ladd will ever achieve that. But you're right, GMs don't think the same way, that's why some have more success than others. |

| Message | i plan on being in the valley the last week of september. when are we considering having the draft? i could attend if it's friday october 3rd. on the 4th i'm available (remote from the new FHL hotbed-Calgary), on the 5th i have to work in the evening. the overseas games start sat oct 4th and the real season starts thurs oct 9th if i'm not mistaken. nice to see stonch back on the horse. go dukes go |

| Message | Stonch, enough with proclaiming me the "favorite". I've enjoyed being the "favorite" the last number of years, and do I have a title? The favorite is the one who is 100 points up with 2 weeks to go in the season. And I love the line in the update about how "GM Epp defended himself nicely on the FHL banter board insisting that he had considered all offers from other GMs and now they were merely complaining because they weren't the beneficiaries of the trade." This is how my talk went about Lidstrom. I made it known I was extremely interested in him, I heard nothing for weeks on end, Epp mentioned a ludicrous idea, I said no way, he agreed that he was "shooting for the moon", a day later he did the deal with Rob. No consideration, no negotiation. Even Rob was surprised with how little it took. That said, I have no problems with the deal itself and we should have a great race this year. |

| Message | I must apologize for my very limited interaction here during the off season, I have been scouting talent south of the equator and have some promising possibilities. Internet access is next to impossible to get where I am at and expect to be here until season is under-way but will make myself available for drafts and the likes. |

| Message | I always find it fascinating the differant opinions on player values. How Stonch McCoy can suggest that the Dukes should drop Recchi instead of Jagr is unreal. Didn't Jagr turn down numerous offers from the NHL and signed for 2 years in Siberia? Of what benefit is it for the Dukes to keep him on their roster with a guaranteed 0 points this year, when Recchi will be playing with the likes of St.Louis, Lecavalier, Stamkos, etc? And Allison has more value than Ladd for the Phillies? Allison has tried to convince 30 NHL GM's for 3 years now that he can play, but still no one has believed him and given him a chance. Isn't he pumping gas in Hope? |

| Message | It's been quite the off season for me personally (i.e. work stuff) so there's been little from our club on the banter board. We're extremely excited about our chances this season by adding 2 more captains to our club with a couple of solid Swedes (to make up for Mats departure in the expansion draft). Look for more this coming season - I hope to have my plate not as full this year. I think that Meszaros deal is bad for the Sens - who is going to be the quarter back there now? |

| Message | Sources tell me that Joe Sakic will announce his return tommorow at a press conference. It is also believed that GM Epp will immediately place him on the trade market and continue his rebuilding program. Expect the Blazers to be the primary destination. |
