| Message | Wow, I go away for a weekend and the banterboard explodes! Nice to see some action on here. First and foremost, I never drafted Andrew Ladd and I never would have, that said he is a proud member of the Phillies joining many of his peers learning about what it means to be a man, how to shave and what beer tastes like. Andrew Ladd posted 12 pts in 20 games as a 21 year old Blackhawk last year and will not even be close to the Phillies cut line... granted our roster is so short on able bodies there IS no phillies cut line, but that's a different story. Secondly, the Lidstrom trade was a joke and was not defended well on the banterboard. I wasn't involved or affected by the deal as Lidstrom will long be retired (and possibly a senior citizen) by the time that my team is old enough to drive to the rink to compete. And finally, I've heard all three of you top dogs now try to point the finger at the "favorite" and play yourselves off as the underdog... I love it, typical playoff hockey approach... Now let's see someone take the title of favorite and run with it. Meanwhile goon's still singin... clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right... Eagerly anticipating the approaching draft and the potential for deals that it brings... |

| Message | Where are you at Shane? My sources tell me that you are in Canada but you are hinting that you are in a remote area of S. America? |

| Message | Who suggested that McCoy is a GM? Wasn't the last time Allison was close to a point a game player in '91 or 92? Did he not spend 5 or 6 years on the Blazers and collected a total of 0 points? His concussions, neck problems, and terrible play have illiminated him from any hockey discussion. No one in an NHL front office even has his name on a blackboard anywhere. He is done forever. The fact that Jagr turned down 10 million per year to play in Siberia speaks volumes of his desire to be an impact NHL player. |

| Message | Goon - I'm the editor not a GM. On Recchi - didn't he have a certain possibility of playing with players last season with the names of . . . let me see . . . say Crosby and Malkin?! Both Jagr and Allison could return someday and would make a serious attempt at point per game production were they to come back. Recchi nor Ladd will ever achieve that. But you're right, GMs don't think the same way, that's why some have more success than others. |

| Message | Stonch, enough with proclaiming me the "favorite". I've enjoyed being the "favorite" the last number of years, and do I have a title? The favorite is the one who is 100 points up with 2 weeks to go in the season. And I love the line in the update about how "GM Epp defended himself nicely on the FHL banter board insisting that he had considered all offers from other GMs and now they were merely complaining because they weren't the beneficiaries of the trade." This is how my talk went about Lidstrom. I made it known I was extremely interested in him, I heard nothing for weeks on end, Epp mentioned a ludicrous idea, I said no way, he agreed that he was "shooting for the moon", a day later he did the deal with Rob. No consideration, no negotiation. Even Rob was surprised with how little it took. That said, I have no problems with the deal itself and we should have a great race this year. |

| Message | I always find it fascinating the differant opinions on player values. How Stonch McCoy can suggest that the Dukes should drop Recchi instead of Jagr is unreal. Didn't Jagr turn down numerous offers from the NHL and signed for 2 years in Siberia? Of what benefit is it for the Dukes to keep him on their roster with a guaranteed 0 points this year, when Recchi will be playing with the likes of St.Louis, Lecavalier, Stamkos, etc? And Allison has more value than Ladd for the Phillies? Allison has tried to convince 30 NHL GM's for 3 years now that he can play, but still no one has believed him and given him a chance. Isn't he pumping gas in Hope? |
