| Message | That is Shane's pick from next year that was in the deal. The Eppsters would like to thank former captain Joe Sakic for his years of leaderhsip and dedication to the team. Sakic captained the first ever FHL Champion and was instrumental in grooming future superstars such as Jason Spezza, Paul Stastny, and Greg Devries. He is sure to be inagurated to the FHL Hall of Fame upon his retirment and the Eppsters plan to retire his jersey that day. The Eppster's will make decisions in the coming weeks as to whom will replace Sakci and Lidstrom as captain and assistant captain respectively. |

| Message | As of right now Oct 2 or 3 is ok. I should have a more definite answer in the coming days...Interesting deal for both teams. The Terror add a nice depth player for this years title chase, and managed to get rid of 3 players they didnt want and not have to use any picks to do it. Chris takes a risk that Afinogenov can bounce back, Mara can be a ligitamate FHL dman again and Emery should have a nice career in Russia. The pick could also turn into something for Epp. Very nice. |

Joe was traded away many years ago to the Eppsters in what can only be described as a sad move by a rookie GM. He expressed interest this offseason in going to a contender and GM Epp has granted his wish. Going to the Eppsters are Max Afinogenov, Paul Mara, Ray Emery and a third round draft pick in 09/10. |
