| Message | One comment on the Dukes Philly trade - the futures thing. There needs to be some parameters regarding Phil picking up those drops - typically those drops are then unrestricted free agents available for any team to pick them up, even those choosing immediately after the respective player has been dropped. (i.e. the C-Doggs picking up Mogilny right after the Bruins dropped him). My leaning on a ruling like that would be that Phil would get first dibs on the player who has been dropped. If he doesn't want them they go to the unrestricted status. Phil should not have unlimited access to that player after the re-draft is over however, to wait and see how the players the Dukes dropped preform and all of a sudden can then pick them up. At the end of this draft each team should have 27 players (trades of course can be made after the draft to change this). (by the way - should we make the draft date on Oct. 3? - Friday night also now works for me.) |

| Message | So the Dukes get Phillies original 3rd rounder in 09/10, not the one they acquired through Terror? (begin banter) I am having trouble following the Phillies logic in trading away 3rd rounders. My count is that at the start of the 9/10 season they will have 10 prospects, minus two for the two 3rd round picks they have in 08/09 and 09/10. In a few years the Phillies will need to push hard to make some deals for some low picks to activate all the prospects. Unless the plan is to trade them all away. There must be a master plan behind all this (end banter) |

GM Blazer you're sounding like a grumpy old man... maybe it's the age of your team and the fact that it's soon to be on a quick descent towards the fantasy pension league where you can sit on your porch and complain about arthritis, the weather, rap music, and my young team driving our sports cars too fast.... I thought adding a little suspense/tension might be fun for a day. Didn't realize the pool wasn't for fun and that the banter board was strictly for business. Ok back to silence then... until tomorrow morning... when my money is on me having something else to say   |

The Dukes are excited to slot Daniel into their lineup when the puck drops in a few short weeks. Daniel joins a strong supporting cast that is up to the challenge of defending their first FHL championship. | Message | Wow I love it when GMs give the heads up when they're making deals, but don't actually announce the deal. Seems to me that GM Philly likes reading his own writing. Spare us the updates and just let us know when you've made a deal. PS the Bruins and the Blazers are very close to making a block buster deal involving names such as . . . . |
