MessageI think this has gone far enough. Phil, please arrive at Rob's 30 minutes before the draft and come around to his back yard. No gloves, no tricks, no shirts, just you and me. smilie

MessageGM Phil, I have to take offense with your statement that you are the champion of making trades. How long have you been in this pool, rookie? I have been the king of wheeling and dealing for many, many, many years.

The wild trip started with me dealing Desjardins and Recchi to the Blazers for Hamrlik and Czerkawski. Some of the many stops along the way have included the beauty deals of giving away Rafalski and Sakic to the Eppsters for 1 healthy year of Pronger and handing away Parise to CDogg for next to nothing. Victories include plucking Staal for Poti and somehow finagling Myers away from the Goons.

My storied tradition has continued with the biggest and most ill-fated dismantling of a team in fantasy hockey history (its not done yet).

I applaud your enthusiasm and many attempts to make deals but only once you have the longevity and storied history that is The Campaign of Terror, will you be able to call yourself the true "King of Trades".

MessageI have no problem saying I won the deal, but A it's not as lopsided as McKoy might have us believe, and there's a very real chance that this was win win win. All 3 teams could benefit from this deal.

The point is... Making deals is the best part of hockey pools... and I'm clearly the champion of that category :D

Forsberg was slated to be a drop finally this year... but thanks to GM Dogg for breaking the news we're happy to keep him on board ... a 5% chance of Forsberg returning on one foot is better than half the players in this pool :D

Even if Forsberg just brings leadership to the locker room this year I still stand by my pick of him over Langkow.

let's see an official FHL Report, I think it could be a fun race this year

MessageWell there Philly, your assessment has some validity to it - the "sketchy" reference which included Kovalchuk revealed my bias against Russian players who threaten to play in Russia - and their overall selfish "me-first" one way play - though you can't really argue against his stats - I just can't help but feel he's due for something sketchy.

As for Hemsky = he is the poster boy for sketchy - he has never played a full NHL season!

The long and the short of it is that you won that deal with the C-Doggs and you don't want to admit it 'cause it might make you look bad for future deals.

MessageOk smilie Now you're callin me out Gaunch McBoy...

Here is my rebuttal:

"Phillies gave up two very sketchy forwards"... case closed.

Verdict: Poorly written.

MessageYah - easy for you to say Phil (i.e.the article was poorly written) you aren't biased at all (i.e. you're the one who ripped him off).

MessageThat article was so poorly written that no response was necessary from any of the GM's involved.

My biggest problem now is I have no idea who I'm gonna trade next... time to rebuild? smilie

Waiting to win is boring...
I will trade my Franchise for any Franchise in this league if you throw in $100.
