| Message | Brilliant performance at Whytleafe deserved to win with the chances we had. The season looks good and the whole team played very well. |

| Message | On the plus side that was a lot better than our last league visit to Whyteleafe. On the downside that was a game we should have won. After a poor first half, we created enough chances in the second period to score 3 or 4 but for some poor finishing and a couple of decent saves. Let's hope we can get three points on Tuesday. |

| Message | Our season is finally here!! It's been a long wait considering everyone else started a fortnight ago. I'd just like to wish the lads and the management team all the best for the coming season, lot's of new faces to get used to, but from what I have seen in pre-season look very impressive. Now that the real stuff starts tomorrow, I'm sure they will carry this on and a nice 3pts at Whyteleafe will go down very well, followed by another 3 on tuesday against Chatham. Follow that with a cup win next saturday against Alton Town as I am sure all the supporters will fancy a visit to Gander Green Lane to face Sutton Utd in the next round, a big tie for Merstham. No pressure lads. Anyway, enough of my ramblings , just to say hope to see many of you at the Leafe 2morrow to cheer the lads on and hopefully we have a brilliant season and everyone can get behind the team as we have a fantastic set of supporters and hope to see many of you when I am in my normal home position the other side of the turnstiles flogging the Golden Goals etc. Come on you Merstham!!!!!!!! | Message | As per the Staines forum, it was: "Only Courtnage, Thomas and King from the first team squad, rest were triallists and a sprinkling of Academy graduates. Fair play to a full-strength Merstham side, who scored three very good goals." We can only beat what's on the pitch and after a edgy start we started playing some good passing football with some great finishes. Also nice to see a clean sheet! |
