MessageI have heard that Craig Vernon was offered on loan before he joined Horsham YMCA and we chose not to bring him back to the moatside. Is there any truth in this story? If so what is wrong with the club, Craig is a class player with a wealth of experience. I thought he was always welcome back to the club?? Could some one shed some light on this??

MessageFair play to Graham last night with injuries to Bradley,Freddie,Billy,Dunny and Harry unavailable he took the 3 young lads with him and even through we were losing 3-2 he took off key players to give the young lads a run out and the gamble paid off, well done to Ben King and infact all 3 of the young lads, but also well done to Graham,a great point at Bognor against yet again another very good side, unbeaten away in four, lets hope we can start putting some points on the board with the fixtures coming up,leaking goals is not good, made even worse when you are not scoring,at least we scored some last night and if we can start being a bit tighter at the back we should see some improvement. smilie

Messagewell done to the boys tonight a great result away to Bognor,it was nice to score first for once but then to go 2-0 up was even better.we lost our way a bit in the second half, yet
again well done chats for keeping us in the match even thou you were getting some stick from the bognor fans about your waist size.also well done to mr banyard for one having three youth players on the bench and two for giving them a run out, which led to us getting a last gasp draw.great goal ben king.also a mention to dave sausage tidy who said he would run naked across the pitch if scored to make it 3-3.bottled it tidy and all mouth son.great banter and roll on saturday. smilie smilie smilie

MessageI see Craig has gone to Horsham YMCA. Why didnt we get him back at Merstham? He's the type of player we are seriouley missing. Ted Hickman said to him he would always be welcomed back.

MessageQuote from Jim Cooper after today's game,'Merstham are a good side and like to play football'again first 45 minutes was excellent and we could count ourselves unlucky to go in 1-0 down, however we have got to start scoring some goals and cut out the usual silly mistakes,I still believe we are not far away, but having played Whitehawk,Leatherhead and Met Police in the last 3 games and Bognor on Tuesday,it does not get much tougher the league table shows that, however if we can put a run together which I believe we will, like Sittingbourne ( who we should have beat by the way )win 3 games in a row and all of a sudden up you go,keep the faith. smilie

MessageUnfortunately match reporter, David Kircaldy, was away last Saturday.

Leatherhead turned their possesion into three well executed goals. Whilst we looked good going forward, there was no end product, it is a problem I'm sure the manager is well aware off.
