| Message | hi Quin Wow, what terrific feedback Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and for so many compliments, too A sequel, though, is very unlikely. I have been struggling with this story since 2003! Just getting to point where the end is in sight is a huge accomplishment. Obviously, it should have been broken down into several stories, all part of one series, but I did not think of that when I began it. That said, once it IS finished, then a few peeks into the future Legolas and Erestor share, Legolas' relationship with Thranduil, and what becomes of the children are not impossibilities. Thank you again for taking the time to send me feedback, I appreciate it very much and I will have to make the effort to load all the chapters over on slashfiction, too. |

| Message | hi stef No worries, these two chapters really go together anyway, and there's a third part I am trying to get done, too. Keep positive thoughts in mind ![]() |

| Message | Thank you, Naledi So glad you enjoyed the chapter and I also pleased you agree the bonding could not wait until after the Quest. Legolas does have a tendency to downplay some issues and magnify others, a sign of youth and inexperience. His confidence in his father and Galdor's understanding is probably more wishful thinking than a real assessment of the situation I wanted to show some of those folks in Imladris were not so horrible, but the identity of the ancient Noldorin lord should probably remain secret Yes, Glorfindel understands Legolas much more thoroughly now. The words of the box mean Rising Eagle and this is, in fact, Legolas' totem, his spiritual protector identified at his birth with the position of the constellation Thor (Vega) in the night sky. Guess I should have mentioned that part of his religion Now it becomes even clearer how well he begins to appreciate everything about Legolas.Thank you again ![]() |

| Message | So Legolas and Glorfindel are finally bonded! I'm glad it happened before Legolas leaves with the Fellowship, but I'm not sure I'd want to be in Glorfindel's shoes when Galdor and Thranduil find out It was a beautiful scene though, despite Legolas' initial embarrassment!I enjoyed the meeting with Arwen and the others. I'd love to know who the mysterious Noldo lord is. I was also pleased to see Lochgaer get his come-uppance. The bit I liked most of all was Glorfindel declaring that he wanted to be tattoed with Legolas' token. I loved that he decided that without prompting from Legolas. It shows how much he understands him now. One question - what do the words that opened the box mean? |

| Message | hi Lan ![]() Thank you and I am glad Lindir's guilt was a surprise Yes, this episode was nice and light and easy, both to read and to write.I needed it very much myself. I will return to Feud after I finish this Cuthenin update and all your questions will be answered. They have already been answered, to a degree, in a much reduced version of this chapter which I posted once as a 500 word thing on the old Legolas in Chains yahoo group. That was so long ago, I am sure no one remembers it, so the confusion is not surprising. I will only say it was NOT Gandalf, though I admit that red herring was deliberately left lying there. It is what Fearfaron will suspect, but eventually discard, much as you are mulling over it now. Balrog is another one I need to work on, but cannot promise anything. Thank you so much fro the feedback ![]() |
