| Message | Hey All You Grand Bankers! Greetings from South Carolina. I left Grand Bank in 1979 - my Dad was UC minister there from 1969-1979. I know many of the people I grew up with have moved away (good to see messages on your website from Ives Bolt, Ron Bungay, Mike Dew) but I do get nostalgic every now and then. Hello to the Felthams, Danny Forsey and Len Peach! I particularly remember camping with the scouts, swim meets with the swim team, Mr. Noseworthy in high school, Mrs. Evan's restaurant, street hockey year round, judo... I could go on and on. Congratulations to the organizing committee. Unfortunately we (my wife Mei and son Noah) will not be able to be in attendance. We wish you every success! God Bless! Darren Coish |

| Message | I am originally from Fortune & Mike from Grand Bank. Those places will always be home to us and we try to visit as often as we can. Unfortunately we won't make it there for the Come Home Year celebrations but we wish everyone the best and we're sure you'll have a blast! | Message | Plans often get changed ... I had arranged to come home for the memorial unveiling and tribute to the 'Mabel and Dorthy' but it will not happen. I will definitely be home later, in the year. Perhaps, it is all for the best because I don't think I could have gotten through the unveiling without crying. It will be a very spiritual moment for a lot of people. On that day a lot of brave and loved men will be remembered. My grandfather, and many more, will look down from above that day to find us sharing community values that cause us to always fondly remember Grand Bank. Sincerely, Ives Bolt |

| Message | I wasen't planning on coming home this year as you know it's not cheap for any one to fly home to see family.But with aging parent's and a sick family member the cost mean's nothing .I can thank my wife jackie and my kidd's stephan and devan and of course sister joan for opening my eyes ,and supporting me on my trip home i am very lucky to have a great family .im really looking forward to seeing old friends during my time home .the come home year organiser's are doing a great job to bring people back home thanks to all of you envolved keep up the good work Lorne bungay winnipeg |
