MessageJACK WAS NOT ONLY A BRILLANT ACTOR, TO ME HE WAS A FRIEND. HIS BROTHER BOB WAS MY NEIGHBOR GROWING UP AND JACK WOULD COME TO OUR HOUSE FOR A BAR B QUE ON THE 4TH OF JULY. I GOT TO GO TO HIS HOME AND SWIM AND PICK ORANGES ONE DAY. HE WAS TRULY A SWEET MAN AND VERY FUNNY. I WILL ALWAYS MISS HIM AND HIS BROTHER BOB.

MessageJack is one of my favourite charactor actors of which there were so many in that period. He seemed like the kind of guy you already knew, a regular Joe you might have a beer with. Who could ever forget his "new cop" in Arsenic and Old Lace talking about his mom, Peaches LaTour. He was a classic, one of a kind, a stand out in a world of stand outs. Their like will not pass this way again and they are sorely missed. Rest well Jack.

MessageI am so glad to see that someone has taken the time to create a website in memory of Jack. The more of his work I have seen, the more of a fan of his I have become. Handsome, charming, funny, and immensely talented, as someone else has posted, Jack is a guy that I wish I could still write a fan letter to. Maybe he is somewhere smiling though, knowing that those of us who visit this site DO still remember him.

MessageHandsome, talented, versatile, and gone way too soon. That was wonderful Jack Carson. He was so gifted, he always made it look effortless and real. Loved him in comedies and musicals, but when he got to dig his teeth into a dramatic role (The Hard Way, Mildred Pierce, A Star is Born and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) he was brilliant.

Thanks so much for putting up this site! Also, does anyone out there know what became of his children? They would be interesting to interview about him.

MessageFrom Dennis Morgan's amiable sidekick to the antagonist in "Star is Born" to a pleasant singing voice in musical comedy. A man with a large talent and excellent range. Bravo, Jack.
