You were always so much fun to be around & I can only imagine the laughing those angels in heaven are doing at you. Stephen & I were talking about you the other night & how you gave him your id & told him he could get away with using it anywhere outside of the Burin Peninsula because all the bartenders knew you here. You guys looked nothing alike but he used it & got in dt a few times... lol... Missing you, your charm & your humour. |

| Message | Hi - I seen your sons memorial in this weekends paper. I once lived in Grande Prairie-and have known lots of friends working the rigs.I am so sorry for your loss of a precious son. I lost my son 6 weeks ago tomorrow - Zachary Strong.He was just 6 years old-turning 7 on october 21.He was the light of my life. I am still trying to figure out how to live without him. Only a parent who has lost a child can truly understand this overwhelming grief,loneliness,and heartbreak. I viewed your pictures of Ryan's garden- just beautiful. There has been a tree planted in memory of Zachary in front of his school.and another to be planted in the spring at the park - which is to be named in his honour. Zachary's favourite flower was marigolds. Sorry I don't mean to ramble- I just wanted you to know that I have been thinking of you - and of your son- I will keep you all in my prayers. |

Your mom was sitting in the garden and we joined both her and your dad for lunch and some pics in the garden. Your mom and dad were in the garden and I had a Blackhorse with your dad and a chat with your mom. You have amazing parents and they think so much of you. | Message | Darling Son, Four years ago today we picked you and Chantelle up at St. John's airport; one year ago we went to Krista's wedding; today Mark and Martine are married...be a guardian angel to all of them. Melanie drove the bride and groom in your Tahoe...the champagne and Black Horse was on ice for them compliments of you. Melanie still comes home looking beautiful and expected today to be the first time a wedding driver got photographed. Seven groomsmen came to visit Dad and I before the dinner...Malcolm, Aaron, David, Jonathon, Stephen, Jordan and Jamie...while it broke our hearts to see all of them, we loved every moment of their visit. We miss having your friends around. Cory left a dozen Black Horse when he visited from Edmonton, and today the boys drank them...sure do miss you. They all had a story and a tear. The boys took the ducky (Stephen is emcee) and Mark is going to get a surprise. Hopefully, he'll get the fright with it that he always gave everyone else. Tomorrow Malcolm is coming here with Noah. | Message | I knew Ryan from the Sherlock Holmes Pub. I used to play music there and when Ryan and the "crew" came in; I knew the whole Pub was in for a fun night. I didn't put two and two together when people told me about Ryans death years ago. It only hit me today after following the link from Jimmy Whiffens site. Ryan was one of the best people I have ever met, or had the privilege to call a friend. I do miss him a lot. I always wondered where he went. Ryan always sat in the closest table to the stage and we laughed all night. I miss those times, they were some of my "funnest" gigs.. Take care my friend, McGoo.. |
