| Message | Happy 27th Birthday, Precious Son. It is so hard to believe you've been taken from us at such a young age. We really don't know how we've survived without you. We thank God for letting us have you for 23 years...we made many precious memories in your short life. We miss your whistle so much! And your phone calls! And your stories! And everything! Our heartache is beyond words...we will never be the same. You have so many friends there with you and their parents have become our friends. Today is a rainy day and I said it was raining tears for you. While we cannot change what has happened, we know you are in a better place and you are surrounded by much love. | Message | Ryan, I know we never really hung out like best friends, but I can never forget playing in the band with Kris Rideout and Jamie Stewart at the Pier and always, and I mean always having you up to play a tune with us. Or when we were on break, you made sure to entertain the crowd. Buddy life is not fair, and sometimes I ask myself why things happen. Why this one, or why that one? When I first heard about everything, and like I said, we weren't best friends, but tears honestly came to my eyes. And now that I have found this website, tears are again in my eyes. God really took a good one back in 2003. I can remember speaking with Melanie at the Pier that Christmas when I came home from Ontario for holidays, and all I wanted to do was hug her. Ryan, if I could buy Black Horse here, I would have one for ya, but I'll manage to dedicate some ale in your honour. I also play in a band here now and the next show we do, there will be a tune sang for you, as you would do for us back in the day.
