I just came across this site today as i was reading messages under my cousins Soanya's site and seen melanie had this here i am glad i came across it because now i too can keep revisiting this site of ryan. |

| Message | We are the parents and brother of Jeffrey Johnson who was killed in Provost AB on March 10 . We are still trying so hard to come to terms with what happened and to try and get threw each day. Ryan and Jeffrey are both our Guardian Angels. | Message | Hi Precious Son, The day started with a blue jay...first one since we came back in January. Then, while I was stuffing my turkey this afternoon (Barb's dressing since, to quote you, "mom just can't make dressing"...lol) to cook for our annual St. Paddy's Party, Harry Cooze calls to say Jimmy Whiffen is on CBC Radio Fort McMurray and singing "The Whistler"...I heard Jimmy singing the last verse and then beautiful words Jimmy was saying about you. I lost it! I couldn't believe he was actually singing about you...couldn't believe he was talking about you...Ryan Penny...my son...our son...and you are gone...no more whistling or singing...cannot believe it! You are really gone forever...it's all a nightmare. And another Newfoundlander, Jeffrey Johnson, was killed on Monday on an oil rig in Provost, AB...so much heartache...we are not alone.
