| Message | Dear Muireann, I obtained your lovely "daybreak" album as a spontaneous add on to a before Christmas purchase of several other CD's. After listening to all your tracks, I was pleased with what I heard to say the least. Especially Persuasion and The parting glass. A long time and much loved friend of mine, Alan, died of cancer in mid February. His 54 years of life embraced great joy though sometimes depression, numerous friends & family, marriage, divorce, excellent fathering, drumming, dancing, traveling and quiet philanthropy to some good causes. I miss him a lot and upon hearing again your singing of 'the parting glass' I was struck by how I felt this song was delivered to me for a reason through your fine performance. I was going to play it at his Memorial service this past Sunday but neglected to bring a long enough cord to plug in my CD player! I ended up singing it myself even though my voice, while far from good as yours, held forth nicely as I imagined I was doing this for him, you know, to say goodbye. I just wanted to thank you for your part in making my attempt at rememberance of my friend so musical and meaningful. I look forward to your next CD! Regards, Scott Currie, South Paris, Maine |
