MessageWe spent the same time at the Aventura Spa after being evacuated from Cancun Palace.

Made some new friends...shook our heads at the behavior of others... both good and bad.

Amazed at the support the local Mexican residents/workers provided.

MessageAfter watching my son Stephen get married to Lisa on Monday 11th October 2005. We had a great day. To end our vacation of a life time with WILMA (she was a most unwellcome guest,)all though she marred our trip we have nothing but admeration for the Mexican people. We stayed at the Moonpalace and recommened it,it is truly a 5star hotel we allhope to go back asap. The 5 day,s we were in the shelter we were looked
after as thought we were in a 5star shelter. We
travelled with Thomsons of England they flew us out Tuesday to the Dominican Republic were we stayed for 1 night. flown home the next day again treated very well.We were lucky we didn,t lose our luggage or anything. The staff of the Moonpalace were wonderful the money my new daughter in law and another lady collected for all those who helped (we new of no other way of saying THANK YOU)they said they were going to give to the local Church to be given out to all of the local community. They made us all feel very humble.I think it say,s a lot for the huge heart of the Mexican people. Lastly thanks to the Moonpalace my daughter in law even got here
wedding dress back from the cleaners, cleaned and pressed, just 10 minuets before we left for Meridian Airport. THANK YOU ALL AT THE MOONPALACE
CAN,T WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL AGAIN.

Messagewell im 14 me and my family was in the moon palace resort and was ready to leave until the coach taking us to the airport refused to take us. at this point are bags had gone we had nothing! we heard of reports of a hurricane but no body new whether it was taking the path is was meant to. we sat in the moon palace lobby waiting for news on what was going to happen to us. with us we had a 3 month old baby who only had enough food to last us to get the plane home. they told us we was going in to a shelter and with us having a baby we had priority to go in first. when we arrived we had power and everything toilets worked and the dvd was playing. when the hotel reps and builders started to put metal sheets on the window thats when i started to feel kinda worried. smilie. then the dvd went off . the toilets where electic and flushed on there own they went to so me and my friend hu was 15 was on toilet duty handing out buckets to people and disinfectant. most people thought it was safe to go up stairz but when the ceiling started to collapse most of them come down stairz. water was just pouring in and my dad was helping to bail out water.anyway thingz got worse down stairz ceilings just started to collapse and then hurricane backed of and doors opened we was allowed to see what damage it actually done. they handed out sweets to all us youngs ones :D they set up a kids club. it was great. we got on the 8 hour coach ride to meridia to fly to domincan rebuplic and we safely flew home !

MessageJust dropping a note to say we just came back March 29th, from Playa del Carmen, we did stay at a Palace resort the "Playacar" but we had to go to Adventura to put a closure to our Wilma experience. The resort was very lively, we were able to go into the conference center the "shelter" very emotional for both of us. There's no sign of any of us being there smilie it would of been nice to have some kind of momento, but....anyway, I recomend going to anyone who was with us, it feels good to have better memories smilie

MessageWe've enjoyed viewing your website. We were guest at the Riu Palace Las Americas prior to the storm and spent most of our honeymoon at a little known honeymoon spot call LaSalle (shelter)! It was truly one heck of a honeymoon!

MessageHello all! We were in the Moon Palace, first floor. My wife and I were on our second day of our honeymoon when it hit. My wife was 8 weeks pregnant, and got very very sick the whole 5 days we were there until they finally took my wife out to the "total assist" hospital in Cancun. She was severly dehydrated and starved, and almost died on the way to the hospital. I had to keep her awake, because she just "wanted to go to sleep". She was immediately put on IV's and I translated the whole time. We finally got back to the Moon Palace where we found our agents (barely!) and finally got out of there on Oct 27th. Now we live in Broomfield, CO, I am active Army as a Recruiter, we have a beautiful home and our baby is 25 weeks along, perfectly healthy and kicking her like crazy. She was on IV's from Nov. 4, 2004 until just recently. I really need people from Moon Palace to get in touch. I am currently writing a book on our experiences and want contacts and stories. I may get a TV spot soon, so the more stories/Pics the better. Send everything to my email box. ( [email protected] ) Thank you to all the people who prayed over my wife that one night! I need to get in contact with the midwife who took care of my wife the whole time! Most importantly with all this, I have my wife, and I love her so much, and I have my Jesus who saved us from that aweful Hurricane.

MessageGood to know website set up. Experience was an awful one and we are still having a nightmare in getting money out of palace resorts. But we did make some great friends.

MessageGreat job on the website. We're so happy to be home and not stuck in the aventura spa palace. even though it sucked, the experience and new friends made it worthwhile.
