Messagesmilie Definitely doin the happy dance now. Been cussing and discussing our network problems for like forever, never could find any clear answers to what the problem was, jus lots of . Then, my wife found PChuck's pages. I could tell immediately that here was some clear, solid information that might be of help. And boy, did it ever help!!!!! What it all boiled down to was the node-type setting for the clients on our wireless lan. Two PC's had no node type set, one was peer-to-peer, and two were correctly configured to mixed. Incredible that changing one leetle-bitty number in the registry would have such a healing effect! A soon as all were in mixed mode, shazaaaaam! we were up and running slicker'n snot on a doorknob. What a long strange trip it was to get here but folks, if you are having trouble with your net, pay attention to PChuck, the guy knows where-of he speaks. And to chuck, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

MessageHi Chuck, I got your note earlier on Google Group Help for blogs. I'm having an issue on my blog, and wonder if you know about this problem. When I sign on, www.patrickswords.blogspot.com, some or all of the text around the pictures does not appear. But, after I scroll down, and scroll back up, the text will appear. This also happens on the title of each posting. Have you heard of this before? Please email me if you have. smilie Thanks so much for any suggestions.

MessageHey, just thought I would stop and sign your guest book. I first encountered your profile on Where's George. I clicked on your Where's George profile with a link your PChuck's Blog.

Wow! You got a truck-load of info in your posts. Looks like a vault of information.

I clicked on your profile 'cuz you said you wished you were in Thailand. Me, I wish I was in Thailand too. I got married earlier this year in Thailand. My wife still lives there and I'm trying to make my way over there to live. Probably going back in January or February.

Me, I'm just getting into networking myself. I'm taking my classes at Cabrillo College in Aptos. Finishing up my first year of networking / routing (CIS 81, 82, 83). Just started our first project last night; setting up a network with frame relay, ppp, vlans, eigrp, nat/pat, the whole nine yards. I never realized how something that seemed so simple could actually be so complex.

Anyway, I'm going to bookmark your website stop by to read some of your posts / articles from time to time. It makes for good reading.

Take care.

J.
