Our state's economy will be better off for it."

| Message | I completely support an increase in the minimum wage. If the feds won't do it, the states must. |

| Message | The minimum wage needs to be increased, and adding one dollar to it will help workers and their families be better able to pay for their necessities. |

| Message | The minimum wage increase has been necessary for many years now. There are entirely too many people who have to live at barely poverty level or work multiple jobs just to be able to provide for their families. |

| Message | I strongly support this proposal to raise the minimum wage by $1.00. I have yet to see a persuasive case made against it. May I suggest our lawmakers read _Nickel and Dimed_ by Barbara Ehrenreich? Having worked minimum wage jobs in the past, I can vouch for the accuracy of Ms. Ehrenreich's description of life for a minumum wage worker. Admonishments to "work harder" are not the answer! Hats off to Mr.Moore!! |
