Just in case any potential students are reading this and are looking for a specialist musical theatre college, a quick reminder that The Musical Theatre Academy opens in the West End in October 09. With every show in an off-West End venue, and with ALL staff having an exceptional professional CV to match that of their teaching experience, it's no wonder the M T A - Musical Theatre Academy was recently called 'the one to watch' by The Stage. If you are looking to start this October we only have a few places left, as demand for entry has taken us by surprise so apply online now!

MessageHi students (ex & current)
Thanks for the invite to Sweet Charity but I'm afraid that I won't be able to make the last ever HTS Musical. I'm sure that you'll all ensure that HTS will go out with a bang. If my memory serves me right Charity was the 3rd musical that we did just after HTS opened? Enjoy the performances I'm sure that you'll all do yourselves proud.
Jo...I don't read this board very often so I've only just seen that you'd addressed a post to me - I'm pleased that you managed to catch New Boy before it closed.
Still hard to believe that HTS is finally closing, but I'm sure that its legacy will live on in its ex students, and no doubt the new course starting up at Market Theatre.

As ever I look forward to seeing HTS students old & new out there auditioning in the real world. Good luck & enjoy the final term.

MessageHi Annemarie,
About 10 of us went to see "New Boy" last night! Really enjoyed it, thought Nick Hoult was great.

Also saw Priscilla this week. Didn't like it much, I'm afraid, so won't be orgainising that as an HTS trip!!! They can go and see that one off their own backs!

Some of them have gone to NY to see "Shrek the Musical" this week. Bet it's fab!
xx

MessageThe first week of the new term is going to be busy, busy, busy!!

Reminding you: as well as One Handers, you will have lessons with Sam and Jo, checking up on CV's, photos, portfolios etc.

Keep sending your headshots to us by email or on Facebook. Standards are good so far; well done.

During the first few days of term, we will be preparing for your Voice Over CD's in the professional studio. You will be given full details of what you need to prepare next Monday.

The Costume and Props rooms/cupboards have been completely cleared out and re-sorted! The set for the nationwide tour of the farce, "Good Friends", is being stored in the Rehearsal Room, so costumes and props have now been moved over the road. Please keep these new areas tidy and well-organised. A lot of work has gone into sorting them out!

Lastly, you will be having "auditions" this term for both acting and musical theatre shows. Check with us during week one that you are very happy with the contents of both portfolios. Professional actors/singers are coming in to sit on the panels for these auditions.

Enjoy the last days of your holidays...

Have a good rest,
you may need it!
