MessageLooking forward with immense anticipation to the work of our 2nd and 3rd year students over the next three weeks.

The 2nd years have the wonderful Ian Jones for their public performance play.

The 3rd years see the welcome return of Diane Axford for the Shakespeare scenes.

It was wonderful to see Barbie Gardiner at our public performances last week. She tells me that she is looking forward to the 2nd and 3rd year shows this term and, naturally, she waits with bated breath for the Post Graduates performance on the 19th November.

News is to follow soon on the HTS trip to see Kate Eason in the musical "Newley" at the Gatehouse Theatre, London. Kate is, of course, an ex-students of HTS and she is delighted to represent the school in this exciting Pete Gallagher musical.

More news....asap....xx

MessageHi

Just a quick reminder for those of you who haven't heard that I'm opening my own college next September. MTA - The Musical Theatre Academy will be teaching true triple threat training (so doesn't cause any conflict of interest with the new Market Theatre course)right in the heart of London's West End. For a new college it's getting lots of media and industry interest already (probably because it's offering the UK's first accelerated learning programme for MT professionals). From the industry Stiles and Drewe, and Diane Langton are already onboard as Creative and Performer Patrons respectively - with all three coming in to work with my students. ALL staff will have West End or No 1 touring experience, plus of course every show is in a well established off-West End venue. Please check out the website at www.theMTA.co.uk, or there's a Facebook group if you want regular updates on developments. With applications already flooding in please tell your friends to get in quick before all the places have gone for this exciting inaugural year.

Meawhile I hope that all ex-students are well, and all current students are making the most of the last HTS year.

Looking forward to catching up with some of you at panto (lovely to hear that so many of you are planning to support ex-HTS student Kerry George/Hughes) - do pop into the beautiful Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds and say hi!

MessageHow lovely it was to see so many HTS staff and students at the Bluehearts Firework Display tonight. There must have been over 100 of us; what a grand reunion....and the fireworks were pretty good too!! If that's the shape of things to come, well, I can't wait for the Graduation Ball! xx
