MessageHello,
My hero, my dad; Sgt (Barney) Brian Barnett has sadly passed away. He served in 3 Para between 1954 - 1977. His funeral service will be held at St Josephs Church in Aldershot (top of town) on Wednesday 16th May at 12.00. Burial 13.00 at the military cemetary. A celebration of his life will be held at the Conservative Club in Aldershot, Hants afterwards. All welcome who new him. Photos and stories too..

THE ROYAL CORNWALL PRA WILL BE HOSTING THIS EVENT.AT THE TREBAH GARDENS .ADMISSION IS FREE TO PRA MEMBERS.IT IS SET IN THE GARDENS BY THE HELFORD PASSAGE,JUST A COUPLE OF MILES FROM FALMOUTH.ANYONE ON HOLIDAY INTHE AREA WILL BE MADE MOST WELCOME.

MessageMark,I assume that this was your dad,or uncle,I first met Barrie ,when I joined 1 Pln, A Coy,3 Para in April 1959,the usual,sprog and old soldier together,I got shit,not only from him but the rest of the oldies,but we got on well together after the sprog period,condolences to the family,RIP Barrie

MessageMore bad news it was posted on face book tonight by a relliable Airborne brother that John Boyle passed away on the 22 April John was in 4Pln Bcoy 3 Para and was a El gamil vet.
John was Secretary of the Stirlingshire branch of the PRA.

Unfortunately after a short illness Barrie Wedge passed away on Friday 20th of April. I know he was a member of the 3 Para Reunion Club and went to a number of Ex Para events in this country and Holland.

Barrie was my Father In-law and if your members would like any more information I can be contacted on 07957796065 or emailed at [email protected].

We are not sure when the funeral will be but everybody is welcome
