| Message | Alec Taylor has posted a very comprehensive photo record on the forum of his fathers time in 3Para.photos from the 50s,60s,,70s.Ranging from Jordan 58,bahrain60/64.It will stir a lot of memories,not only of spud but all those of us that are left that served in those times.It will hopefully induce a lot more to delve into those drawers and post more photo,s I,m sure if someone brings a computer to the next reunion.There will be a lot memories rekindled. I,ve feeling that the chap in the landrover was ken freemantle the RSM on his departure from Bahrein the first time. At time of the posting of Spud,s passing,i wasn,t to sure.as there other taylors,smiths whites clarkes,etc.spud was a stalwart of 3para.RIP |

Later, in Greece, when the bulk of the battalion went to Athens on the weekend off, you Barry Briggs and I hopped a local bus and went north round Tsagerada. | Message | The following message was received through the forum regarding Bob (Spud) Taylor:- Hello, my father was a serving member of 3 Para alongside Jimmy Grant , Ted Lewington and Tug Wilson (just a few of the names I recall from my childhood) sadly he passed away on Sunday the 1st April after suffering for many years with dementia, he was a very proud ex paratrooper who spent many days talking of his past in the army and as his illness progressed he appeared to relive many of those times to.
