Message25TH ANNIVERSARY 3 PARA OP CORPORATE
I have received a communication from the OC Support Company 3 Para Inviting all 3 Para Falklands Veterans to attend a joint Drumhead Service with 2 & 3 Para to be held on Abbey Feilds opposite the barracks in Colcester on Sataurday 16th June 2007. Colour party and guards will be provided by both 2 & 3 Para.

Also the Battalion would like to invite 3 Para Falklands (1982) Veterans (including Attached Arms)to Stay Over and Dine with them prior to the Drumhead Service. In the new barracks at Colchester. This is a TICKET event only, those wishing to attend should contact the OC Support Company 3 Para asap for further details and a ticket. The cost of the event is £15.00 (accomodation charge only) payable to Central Bank 3 Para, however enterance to the Regimental Drumhead Service and Colchester Military Festival is free to all Falklands Veterans but again a ticket is required. It is appreciated that this is a very busy weekend, however the battalion has asked for your support. Colchester is only 1 Hour from London so plenty of time to Attend Sundays Commemoration Event on Horse Guards London. This would make a great RV for Falklands Veterans.

Contact: OC Sp Coy 01206 783246 Dinner Tickets
Contact: Colchester Mil Festival ABForces Day 01206 815127/815154 (Tickets are required for enterance to Abbey Feilds and are free). Those wishing to attend please get in contact asap so numbers attending can be finalised.

MessageI am trying to trace Steve SMITH (Smudger)& his family Karen, Michelle & Kelly. They use to live in Frome, Somerset whilst Smudge was in 3 Para(Borneo). He was a sergeant and served in Borneo for a time receiving an award for delivering a baby in one of the village’s.
They were good friends but unfortunately due to life we have lost contact.
If any one knows where they might be or can pass my email address to them I would very much appreciate it.
I would have been known to them by the names in the brackets but I have since remarried. Contact me at: [email protected]

MessageSaw 'Shuggie' Wynns name as I was browsing out of curiosity more than anything. I guess a bit of nostalgia crept in as well I also saw alot of old names I recognised, 'Johnnie Weeks, Chris Phelan and many others! I basically just wanted to say its great to see so many names that bring back so many great memories. Perhaps anyone who knew or remembers me would care to say hello [if they can remember that far back]! Good to know that us old men still remember. Contact me at:[email protected]
