| Message | I regret to inform you all on the death of, Bill Gordon, aged 91 at Stobhill hospital Glasgow, on Sunday the 7th of Feb. Bill was in B,coy 3 Para. He fought with 3 Para throughout North Africa and jumped into Arnhem. After the war Bill was an active member of the, Lest We Forget Arnhem Vets association only retiring from his position on the committee last year at the age of 91. He was also a regular attendee and member of the Central Scottish Branch PRA. Those of you who were at Blackpool last year will have met Bill, he was my replacement and in the company of my mate Jim Bishop. After the event Bill told me that he had had a great time, that he was humbled but very proud with the reception that you all gave him before the dinner. Photos of Bill at Blackpool can be seen on this site. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bills dear wife Gladys, son Stuart and all the rest of his family at this time. The funeral will be held at St Marys church Kirkintilloch on Thursday the 11th of Feb, service at 1045. Bill........ You were a joy to be with and it was an honor to know you. I am sure that your old comrades will welcome you with open arms when you arrive at the gates of Val Halla... RIP |

| Message | I have just had a call from Debbie (Deb's) Fazackerly, wife of Nick. Nick had a heart attack last night. He is stable and on all sorts of painkillers and various other drugs. I was with Nick at New Year, he is still as strong as an ox and hopefully with proper treatment and care will pull through. My thoughts are with Nick, Debs and their lovely family during another tough time in their lifes. I will put sitreps up when recieved from Deb's.... |

| Message | 1.For Paul O'Connell: Sorry but no date fixed yet. Planning on mid/end of March but that's all I'm afraid. 2.For Kenny Watt: re Danny Blair's request - it is all on the homepage of the website in 'Next Reunion' and full info is on the booking proforma with the newsletter. 3.Sorry to disappoint but the spare hotel booking that I had has been taken. 4. Brian Keeling's funeral went as well as one can. Church and reception was packed and there was a good turnout from the Regt and Club. Regards to all Terry Carroll Chairman |
