MessagemA pleasant surprise to see this site!! This old MA-1 Weenie was out of country for a few weeks, and code 3 for a couple of weeks! The old 289 unit had to be re-stabilized and some new Steering dots installed! After a 120 hour alignment, and a checkout with an FDT, I'm fine! Ready to go again for another 120 hours of flight!
Hope my next flight is Code 1!!!

Lannie, I'll have to see if I still have those radome bolts! I'll let you know so I can get them to you before the radome needs to go back on!

Great job, wish I was there to help!

The 87th Jacket looked great in Germany, and I even got several very positive comments and inquiries about the squadron and the airplane!

MessageJust a short message to say it was a pleasure meeting all who served with my father. I had a wonderful time at the reunion and can't wait for the following one so I can bring my children and let them see what their grandfather did while in service. hope to see you all there!!!

MessageHow ironic the seat from 032 survived. 032 was Shot down on 1st NULLO as an ADP-1020 kill on 11 Oct 1994 from Holliman AFB, New Mexico. Did the seat survive? It undoubtedly crashed on land so that is possible. I would really like to find out the seat ended u[p where it did.

MessageGreat site, and congrats on all the work at the museum. As the proud owner of what must be a very rare ejector seat here in Europe, ie the Weber seat from Delta Dart 59 0032, I am currently restoring the seat for display at the Air Corps Museum here in Dublin. As 0032 served out its last ops with the 87th. at Sawyer, the seat has travelled a long way!Hope to visit your museum when next in USA, good luck with your restorations. smilie

MessageLani:

I got news for you!!!!!! There is still plenty to do. Got the left wing prepped tonight and the crew is lined up to hang it Thursday. And Scott is going to lend you his speed handle because there is a million screws in the left wing also. I'm sending the gear part up to the machinest and getting four main pins made at the same time.

MessageHello to everyone. Our reunion last june at Little Michigan was a great success and very enjoyable. It was great to see so many old(er) faces and the memories brought back were never ending. Remember our next reunion will be held in 2008 most likely at the same location. Look for any alumni you may know and have them get me their email addresses so i can add them to my alumni mailing list and keep them updated. My email is [email protected] Lani, Scott Mills and the rest are doing a fantastic job on the restoration of the six. I believe Elmer Klein is working with Pat Mcgee on this great web site, if i got the names wrong i appologize. Everyone involved with both this web site and the restoration have more than earned just a thank you from us all. I sure hope to see many more faces at the 2008 reunion so please look for those buddies and get me their email information.. Rick Gardner RED BULL Hydraulics 1980-1985
