| Message | Daniel, whenever you work in the field of education or throw caution to the wind and enter the risky business of coaching, you can't help but discover that certain students or athletes will capture your heart and favor. I know we are not supposed to have favorites, but this isn't professionalism, it's reality. Early on you did it with your humor, later with your athletic talent, and now currently you are doing it with your tremendous spirit. Keep fighting, we have you on every prayer list in Southern Indiana and throughout Kentucky. Remember, God is Good. Love Ya. |

What courage, bravery and patience you are exhibiting daily through this time of recovery! You family is lucky to be able to say that you belong as a part of their clan.  When I think back to my first year as a teacher in Franklin...I have to smile, knowing that you were one of the kids that made me feel at home. I look forward to hearing about so many of the great things that you are yet to accomplish! I wish you a speedy recovery, a guardian angel that works overtime and weekends for free, and all the best that this world has to offer someone as special as you are to everyone that is lucky enough to you. | Message | Dear Mercer Family, Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers daily. Your faith, courage and love for each other in truly inspiring! I have had all four of the Mercer boys at either Hopewell or Creekside and you are a family that easily stands out. The Mercer boys have always left their mark, with their smiles and sense of humor. I do know a little about what it is like to watch someone you love suffer. Please know that God will always give you strength when you need it. I would like to encourage you with a couple of scriptures that are special to me. Isaiah 40: 30-31 and Isaiah 41:9-10. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. | Message | Dear Daniel, I have learned alot from you and your brother about what it takes to be a good athlete. I have watched you play football, baseball, and wrestle, and if I noticed anything it's that you never gave up a fight. Now,I know this is a little different fight, but don't quit.
