MessageA very nice memorial site and some nice pictures. I particularly liked the picture of the guy in the wheelchair standing as the troops marched by. Older people (particularly those who fought in WW2, Korea, Vietnam) have a lot of respect that is sadly lacking in todays society and that picture speaks a thousand words.

May God Bless Billy and his family.

MessageI enjoy coming to this web-site and reading all the wonderful letters about Will. For that I thank you Britt--what a great tribute. Will was dating my daughter, Holly, so he was a guest in our home several times---he always was a southern gentleman--had an infectous smile and was truely a happy person. Although I never met his mother--we've talked and cried several times on the phone together--what a wonderful person you are Mary Ann. Will's happy heart is a reflection of your love for him and the way he kept the love going. He always spoke so respectful about you--he smiled from ear to ear when talking about you and his sister Rae and children--please know that you are in our prayers. Although we miss Will greatly--he is in our prayers and hearts forever--he really touched our lives. Lovingly Carol Jo

MessageWill was one of the best guys I have ever met. He always made me laugh. My husband and I deeply miss him. We were very lucky to have had a son on Dec 29, 2004 and name him after William. His loss is hard for everyone who knew him, and I give my deepest sympathy to his family. William will never be forgotten in our hearts.

MessageI am deeply sorry to Billy's family for there loss, he was such a special person...I got to know him well my junior year, his senior...We had gym together, and we would always play ping pong...He always keep me laughing..We became pretty close that year, and then he graduated and went to basic.....I saw him after he returned from basic and tech school one time before he went to Nebraska, and I talked to him a few times after he had moved...then I moved and we lost touch...If I had only known, I would have stayed in touch, and would have tried to have a closer relationship..It is true you should live each day like its your last, and I'm glad he did that..I have missed him since the last time i saw him, and I will miss him forever, till we meet again.. smilie

MessageBilly as I always called him was a very special person in many ways. He was my 7th grade boyfriend and my entire world at that point in my life. Billy and I talked a few times during high school but not very often due to my changing schools after Loyall. We shared a few friends that I didn't know he knew and he didn't know I knew that turned out to be quiet funny. I remember when he used to call my house and leave jokes on my answering machine when I wasn't home. I would come home to find 10 to 15 messages on the machine all from him. Or the time he sung 100 bottles of beer on the wall in it's entirety on my answering machine each time the machine would cut him off he would call back until the song was complete. I did get the chance to speak with Billy after he entered the Air Force and my question was why would you want to do something like that for. It didn't take me long to figure out that's what he was meant to do and he proved that to everyone!!! Billy was one of the sweetest most heartfelt people I have ever known and he will forever be remembered as that person.
