| Message | Greetings from Dee @usa.  Yes, I see you must really be a longtime fan of Laurel & Hardy! I live close to where they used to film all the HAL ROACH movies in Astoria, ny., and yes its too bad there is no such thing as TIME TRAVEL' as I missed seeing one of the worlds great comedy teams ever. I especially liked the way- dont know if it was HARDYS idea or HAL ROACHES, the way WHENEVER Stan did something wrong in the film, the CAMERAMAN would take a CLOSEUP of HARDYS reaction back into the CAMERA as if he was looking us the audience straight in the face! Dont see much of that artistic comedy in films these days. I especially liked the song HARDY sang: Honolulubaby' |

| Message | well done Stephen..a great achievement and obviously lots of effort went into your tribute to these masters of comedy ..i met them as a 11 year old at the chiswick empire in london and i can remember my mum and dad idolised them..such great comedians and i still watch their movies to this very day,60 years on!i am sure your web site will give immense pleasure to many thousands of people.kind regards..Mike Greenaway England. |

| Message | In fact I'm in Carlisle not very far away. I've been brought up on Laurel and Hardy all my life and if anything I grow to like them even more day by day and the 21 DVD set was agreat incentive. When I first came to Carlisle in 1984 I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time and I got caught up in a local convention/tent. A very enjoyable night. I never found out how to join. |

I'm a member of the "Any Old Port" Tent, Oasis #212 in Baltimore, MD. In the current wasteland of what passes for comedy, Stan's and Ollie's art shines like a lighthouse in the tempest.
