MessageDear Annie,
It's Saturday afternoon and me & Mam are sat in our dressing gowns in front of the new SUPER computer. We've been lazy beyotches, having a big lie in, then munching on tea and toast for brekkies. I don't think that either of us has any intention of getting dressed anytime soon! We went to the Sky apple cafe last night for my leaving 'do' and I was under pain of death to arrive there on time-of course I arrived fashionably late for my own party and also, erm, drunk! hehehe-I had my last day at the Crack magazine and felt it was only right to go and have a goodbye drink (or six) with Chloe. A fair amount of Cuban rum later I realised I was pushing it and thought that rather than be disowned I should get my bevvied ass into a taxi quick smart!smilie Food was absolutely GORGEOUS and reassuringly animal cruelty free-I'm bordering back on vegetarianism after eating absolutely TASTY vegan/veggie food in the Squat. My conscience (and all the bleeding hippy bastards I've been hanging oot with) is starting to nag me. I see from your blog that you are munching on whatever's tasty (once alive or no!) so my apologies for giving the old guilt trip (but I want you to share my pain!)-I'm guessing that you've not found a veggie restaurant yet hinny-and that vegetarianism may be a little harder to sustain over there (there's only so much guacamole a girl can eat) so perhaps you can excuse your wanton disregard for life while you're Mexican bound! oops ran oot a words so bye hen!

MessageHi Anna
Sorry I have not signed on for two weeks. I have had trouble accessing the internet as my server has been down and I have just got back from working in London for 4 days. I've enjoyed reading all about your partying - I can't wait to see a photo of you with your nose pierced!

You know that Joseph started school on 3 Sept and looks reallly cute in his uniform. Last weekend he and Denise camped out in my back garden in a small two man tent. Before settling down for the night we cooked sausages and fish fingers on a barbecue and pretended we were in the countryside. We managed to eat the food and it tasted okay in the end. Just in case you think I am getting adventurous in my old age, I must point out that my role was the one of the farmer who stayed in the farmhouse and not in the tent!

On Wednesday night in London I walked from the hotel (Hilton Docklands opposite Canary Wharf ) along the river to eat at the Chop House in Butler's Wharf ( opposite Tower Bridge) We then walked back - a five mile round trip ! I am proud of myself for walking as I am determined to get fit. The docklands area is now dominated by yuppie flats. We saw graffiti( We don't want your heliport here) painted on the wall of one of the renovated warehouses. You can understand why they are aggrieved.

The family are eating out tonight to say farewell to Fran. We will be thinking of you! I hope the change in your courses goes through okay. They sound a better option.
Love Mau smilie

MessageSubject: Fw: Newcastle disaster

A major earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale hit Newcastle in
the
early hours of Monday. Epicentre: Benwell. Victims were seen wandering
around aimlessly muttering fookin' mentill init and cont. The
earthquake
decimated the area causing approximately £30 worth of damage.
Several priceless collections of mementos from the Balearics and
Spanish
Costas were damaged beyond repair.Three historic sites of burned-out
cars
were severely damaged and many locals were woken well before their
Giro
arrived.
The Evening Chronicle news reported that hundreds of residents were
bewildered and confused, still trying to come to terms with the fact
something interesting had happened in the area.
One resident, Tracy Sharon Smith, a 15 year-old mother of four, said
It
was such a shock, my little Chardonnay Mercedes came running into my
bedroom crying. Even I was still shaking when I was watching Kilroy
the
next
morning. Apparently though, looting, muggings and car crime did carry
on
as normal.
The British Red Cross has so far managed to ship 4,000 crates of Sunny
Delight to the area in order to help the stricken locals.
Rescue workers are still searching through the rubble and have found
large
quantities of personal belongings. These include Benefit books,
jewellery
by Elizabeth Duke at Argos and many items of Bone china from
Poundstretcher.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
This appeal is to raise money for food, clothing and parcels for those
unfortunate to be caught up in the disaster. Clothing is most sought
after
and the most needed include:
Fila or Burberry baseball caps
Kappa tracksuit tops (his and hers)
Shell suits (hers)
white sports socks and any other items usually sold in Primark.
Required foodstuffs include:
microwave meals
tins of baked beans
ice cream
cans of Colt 45 or Special Brew
22p buys a biro for filling in the compensation forms.
£2 buys chips, crisps and blue fizzy drinks for a family of 9.
£5 will pay for a packet of B&H and a fag lighter, to calm the nerves
of
those affected.
Gregg's products including pasties and sausage rolls are also very
high on
the wanted list.

PLEASE DO NOT send tents for shelter, as the sight of posh housing is
unfair on the neighbouring areas of Elswick and _________________________________
