My deepest condolences to the entire family. I met Shane at a college rodeo when I was announcing the South Dakota State rodeo. I remember how full of life and energy he was, and how positive he was. I got to know him and Chad a little better at some various pro rodeos I announced. I'll never forget the story he and Chad told me at the Watertown, SD pro rodeo about the bullriding they'd been to during the Sturgis bike rally. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and just know that Shane effected people's lives in a positive manner. He will be missed, but his legacy will live on.

Shane was the toughest person I ever knew. He fought this cancer with the same intensity he wrestled with. I will never forget much heart he had.
