MessageHI Shane, I just found out that you have a website after I stopped at my mom's (Sue Burrell) after church. THanks so much for sharing your life with all of us. I will be so good to be updated on how you are doing. You are in our prayers. We will sure miss seeing you at rodeos this summer and I know you will miss it even more, but to be honest bull riding scares me to death and I really don't like people I know doing it because I am always scared they will get hurt.I am sure bull riding is a breeze to you compared to cancer. But we know that God is bigger than cancer and bulls, and He holds our future in His hands. Get alot of rest while you are home and enjoy your family.

One of my favorite verses (I love the mental picture it creates) is Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow wery, they will walk and not be faint.
So, I guess instead of those airplanes that are always swooping over your house, just picture an eagle!
You hold a very special place in our hearts--in fact you are our favorite son-in-law!!!!!!!!!!

MessageHi Shane, I hope you had a good night and are feeling better. I wish I had thought of this sooner, but for what it's worth---there's a remedy that has been passed around in the recovery room where I work. Sometimes when people are fighting nausea with anesthesia, sniffing an alcohol wipe helps. They just put it near their face and let them breathe it. I don't know if it would work for you, but thought of it and thought it was worth passing on. I miss the updates on the site. I hope you are relaxing and enjoying time home. Linda

Shane, not sure if you remember me but I'm a friend of Frank and Shelly. I was so sorry to hear that your cancer had returned. This is a tough opponent for you personally but know with God's help you can ride this one out just like you have before. Remember that He will NEVER leave you or forsake you and that you and Hope and can do ALL things through Him who strenghtens you!!
