Message | Hi! Today while rummaging through an antique shop, i found a doll which looks like the older Thumbellina dolls (the face with the half-open eyes. She has a pull string in the back and when pulled her head moves back and forth. the only weird thing about this doll is that only the head is vinyl. The limbs are not (they are part of the soft, stuffed body). She's wearing a pink outfit and holding a little yellow cat. She's marked 1979 Ideal Toy Corp. H-328 on the back of her head. Her tag is a bit faded. it identifies the Ideal toy co. and says that the outfit was sewn in Haiti. It does not idetify the doll. The closest thing I've found was a doll called snuggles but the face is different from the doll I have. The doll I have is DEFINITELY a Thumbellina face. The doll is about 13 in length and has blonde hair. Anyhow, I was just wondering if you've come across any thumbellina dolls like this. I just found your site and LOVE it! I am bookmarking it and will be returning on a regular basis! Thanks for all the information on your site! if you have any idea or can help me at all with my fledgling doll collection identification, please email me. |

Message | Great article. Just found some original clothes for Thumbelina in my old doll trunk. Now I'm looking for a doll made in the 60's. Thank you |
