MessageHi! Today while rummaging through an antique shop, i found a doll which looks like the older Thumbellina dolls (the face with the half-open eyes. She has a pull string in the back and when pulled her head moves back and forth. the only weird thing about this doll is that only the head is vinyl. The limbs are not (they are part of the soft, stuffed body). She's wearing a pink outfit and holding a little yellow cat. She's marked 1979 Ideal Toy Corp. H-328 on the back of her head. Her tag is a bit faded. it identifies the Ideal toy co. and says that the outfit was sewn in Haiti. It does not idetify the doll. The closest thing I've found was a doll called snuggles but the face is different from the doll I have. The doll I have is DEFINITELY a Thumbellina face. The doll is about 13 in length and has blonde hair. Anyhow, I was just wondering if you've come across any thumbellina dolls like this. I just found your site and LOVE it! I am bookmarking it and will be returning on a regular basis! smilie Thanks for all the information on your site! if you have any idea or can help me at all with my fledgling doll collection identification, please email me.

MessageIt was a big help and a pleasure to view the many pictures of your collection. I went on your site a year ago searching for a much loved Thumbelina doll I once had to show my friend what she looked like. As fortune would have it I had been searching Ebay recently and to my surprise smilie I found the very same 1969 toddler Thumbelina with her horse that I had so cherished as a child. This doll has never been removed from her box according to the seller nor has the tape around her head been removed so that makes her brand new to me. Thank you for the use of viewing your pictures they brought me much happiness smilie .

MessageHello: I have a *Tearful Thumbelina*by Ideal. The markings are: Ideal Toy Corp. OTW 14-W. The tag that came with her said: She moves, cries real tears. Rock her gently, she opanes and closes her eyes. Press her tummy, real tears roll down her cheeks. Wind her up, she streatches and squirms about. She is Mint. Came with a Glass Bottle, never been played with. Her gown is nice, but has some very small stains from just sitting around. Tell me about this one???Thank-You
