MessageHi. I really enjoyed your website, but would have liked larger pics so that I could see all of the detail. I guess it depends on the camera that you are using.

I have just started collecting Dawn. I had one as a child in Canada, but very few come up on Australian Ebay, so I'm wondering how many were released here? I've been asking women my age whether they remember Dawn, but have been getting blank looks so far. Does anyone know about Dawn in Australia.

Happy collecting, regards, Liz smilie

MessageLittlechap Family Giftset by Remco.
Did Remco make a littlechap family giftset with
all four dolls dressed in ensembles. I own a mint set with all four dolls dressed in their towels. I recently bought a Littlechap Giftset with all four dolls dressed in their evening ensembles. I cannot tell if the Remco factory did this or did the store take the towels off and redress the dolls with their formal evening ensembles. The set was purchased from an owner of a toy store in the sixties and this was part of the old store stock. The owner had other Littlechap Giftsets where the dolls were dressed in more casual outfits. The box does not have the original cello and this is why I am leery. The same stock number is on the giftset with the dolls dressed in towels and also on the box of the dolls dressed in their evening ensembles. I have the option to return this set but I do not want to until I have done more research. This could be a extremely rare set! If anyone has any information on these sets please e-mail me at [email protected] immediately.

Thanks,

Judith

MessageI still have my naked cloth body, wood knob Thumbelina and it's nice to know I'm not the only one who loved her baby.

MessageThank you, thank you thank you!!! I almost fell over when I found your site! You have the exact Newborn Thumbelina I got for Christmas when I was four...actually I got two of them that year, one with hot pink pants and the other with yellow! I even remember the box. They were the ones from Canada. I drive my husband crazy talking about this doll and was wondering where I might find one? Are the Canadian ones harder to get? Please email me if you get a chance. You did a wonderful job with your site. Thanks again

MessageHave resisted internet for a long time, but finally gave in. I'm so glad I did cos I'm rediscovering all my old toys that my mum threw out (bad mum!) Newborn Thumbelina was one of my favourites and this site is wonderful. I'm on the lookout to replace all of my loved dollies and I don't care what it takes!! Many thanks for letting us look at your gorgeous collection.
