MessageYour website is awesome, fun to read, and informative. Your pictures are very helpful. In the early 60's Santa brought me Tiny Thumbelina, case for her, nighty and cap, and bedding for a wicker cradle all made and marked for Tiny Thumbelina. My mom knitted her a beautiful purple coat and hat. I still have everything. She was my favorite baby doll along with Baby Pat-a-Burp. Every where I went, they came with me except for school and church. I have very warm and fun filled memories of my dolls. I share that joy with my 9 year old daughter. A few years later Newborn Thumbelina joined us. Now as an adult I have added several to my collection including a very large porcelain Thumbelina bought at a Kay Bee Toy Store in the late 80's. She is dressed in a beautiful ivory, crocheted christening gown with matching bonnet and pillow. I treasure all that I have. I'm sure you do, too. Happy Thanksgiving.

MessageSIGH . . . . how often I have thought of my Newborn Thumbelina. I had the 1970 version with the bunny sleeper. She was my first brand new (non-hand me down) dolly ever. I come from a family of 7 kids and my nasty brothers (one older, one younger) took it upon themselves to bite off her little fingers and throw darts at her. I loved her anyway and gave her extra TLC as a result.

I WILL one day own another like her!

Thanks for the memories and the awesome website.

MessageI have seen your dolls and they are just as I remembered as I was a little girl. Although I did not see the one I had, she was a wind-up version Thumbelina. I think I got her in the late 50,s or early 60,s. Please let me know if there are any more around. smilie
