| Message | I'm so glad I discovered this site. I've been researching my family history and welcome any information I can find! My great-great grandparents on my father's side were John James Smith & Jane Elizabeth Lawrence (Jennie) of Brigus. Apparently, my g.g.grandmother ran a hat store which I found interesting and we share the same birthday too (Dec. 31). I love to hear about the maritime stories. | Message | Just checked out your site and I am very impressed. A fellow that I have tipped a few with over the years is originally from your town and he has told me many things about it. For instance, The Blueberry Festival. Out standing Community spirit. His name is Fred Pomeroy and I see that there is a Pomeroy named on your site. Maybe they are related. I live in a small town in Saskatchewan named Pilot Butte. Anyways I would like to come out and enjoy your hospitality some day. Thanks Jim |

| Message | My brother Cec and I visited your beautiful town in June 2008 looking for some of our roots. Found our ancestors John Norman and his wife Grace Antle's grave sites on Albert Sparkes land. Albert was kind enough to show us around. Talked to a few other locals along the way. Great people! I've been telling everyone about Brigus! Hope to visit again soon. |

| Message | Greetings! I am writing the biography of American polar explorer, Louise Arner Boyd (1877-1972). On one of her voyages, Miss Boyd lead a 1941 expedition to Greenland aboard the Effie M. Morrissey captained by Robert A. Bartlett. As part of my research, I am seeking contact with descendants of the 1941 expedition and there were many from Brigus: Leonard and Bart Gushue, Tommy and William Pritchard, George Bartlett, James Dooling, William and Robert Bartlett and Charles Batten. I would appreciate it if any descendants of the above would contact me - any information, memories, family stories etc. would be gratefully received. Many thanks!
