MessageWe wanted to let you know how much we appreciated your town's hospitality when we visited on July 28. This was our third vacation in Newfoundland, but our first trip to Brigus, and one that we will never forget. After touring Hawthorne Cottage and having a delicious lunch at Country Corner, we returned to our car and struck a small post while backing out of our parking spot. Even though we were moving very slowly, half of the front bumper broke off! In an instant, a local fellow came by, saw we needed help, and called his friend over. With no fanfare they simply got to work fixing the bumper. It took close to an hour and a couple of trips for various tools and supplies, but they fixed things up so we were able to safely drive back to our cottage at Witless Bay. We are so grateful to these men for taking time out of their day to help us. We'll always remember Brigus as a lovely town with really great people. THANK YOU!!!

MessageMy father was born in Brigus, Nl in 1919. His name was William Munden. He has since passed away almost 18 years ago. He had no brothers or sisters and to the best of my knowledge he had no living relatives on his side of the family. I would very much like to learn some family history on my fathers' side. Would anyone have any information to share with me about my father's family? I would very much appreciate any information you can pass on to me. Thank you.
