MessageJDB is remembered with great fondness in the UK, i was recently sorting through some video's and found one a tv drama, i have which JDB made in England called "Defrosting the Fridge" it was a really sweet story smilie and once again showed what a versatile actor he is. Like many people i think his finest performance, showing all his depth and skill as an actor, was in Edge of Darkness. smilie

MessageI've always loved you, Joe Don Baker. I can't wait til your new movie (Strange Wilderness) comes out next year.

I've been a big fan of yours for years, since I was a little girl. And I said to myself that one day I'll marry a man like Joe Don. Well, I never found that person, but I sure can imagine that.

I think I was about 4 or 5 years old when I first saw you and it was in "Walking Tall". My dad liked that movie and it was the Saturday night movie on t.v. that night. I fell in love ever since. I now have a few movies that you are in (I'm a collector now of your work). Keep up the good work, babe. You're so handsome and still are to me...

Love XOXO,
Leana Jo Murphy

MessageThe last I watched Walking Tall with JDB was in 1973 while stqationed in Saigon.WE Marines must have watched the movie a dozen times! What a great recruitment tool! Had there been a recruiter present, I know that all of us would have re-upped right then and there! As of late, while I was asleep, for some reason I had flash backs of this movie, so I purchas3ed a collector's edition the next day. Can't wait to see it once again. I know it will bring back some wonderful memories.

Semper Fi to you Joe Bon Baker and to a fallen Marine Sheriff Bufford Pusser;

MessageBeing a native Texan myself, I have long been a fan of a very underrated, extremely talented, not to mention ruggedly handsome Joe Don Baker. Hope to see a lot more of JDB.
