| Message | I've always been a fan of JDB's work. I thought he would've made a great replacement on the tv show "Hill Street Blues" when actor Michael Conrad died. JDB would've fit right into the role of their roll call sergeant. |

| Message | I think Mr. Baker is great, there will never be another "Buford Pusser" as tall as him. I also liked his "To Kill a Cop " movie which turned into the "Eishied" TV series. I saw the movie "Mitchell" it was OK, but movies are the directors job! I have seen him in bit parts in movies for many years, and I don't believe he gets the fame due to him? How about "Junior Bonner"? |

NONE OF THE SEQUELS INCLUDING THE RECENT ONE WITH "THE ROCK" COME CLOSE TO HIS PORTRAYAL OF THE LATE SHERIFF BUFORD PUSSER OF TENNESSEE. I HAVE A COPY OF A NEWSPHOTO OF BAKER AT SHERIFF PUSSER'S FUNERAL IN 1974 WHICH I THOUGHT WAS A VERY DECENT THING TO DO. HIS PORTRAYAL OF A POLICE CAPTAIN ON "IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT" TV SHOW IS ALSO STELLER IN MY MIND A FAN OF BUFORD PUSSER AND JO DON BAKER |
