Roberto Vittorioso.

MessageHi Maria,

Thanks for that info. We'd intended to go to the beach at Francavilla al Mare so maybe we'll stop in Lanciano which is close to Francavilla. I've heard it's a quaint town. I think after 3 days in Rome we'll look forward to the slower pace of Torricella. I also received some good advice from a co-worker, Giuseppe DiValerio, who emigrated from Fallascoso in 1960 and from a gentleman named Carlo Liberati who is a friend of the creators of this web page.

Regards, Marc

MessageTo Marc Teti-
We went to Torricella Peligna in June 2006. Not much to do for kids but we did go to Lanciano to shop and to the beach at Torino di Sangro. Hope that helps. p.s. bring jeans and jackets as it is still cold in June up in the mountains.

My father was born and raised in Torricella until he moved to Philadelphia when he was nine. Although his father's family all moved to the US, his mothers family, the DiFabrizio's, are still there. I got to meet his cousins and second cousins and they treated us like ROYALTY.
Stayed at the Hotel Cape where the owners were very hospitable. smilie

MessageHello,

Congratulations to those who developed this interesting and informative web site. My grandfather, Pietro Teti, emigrated from Torricella around 1910 following in the footsteps of his brother Antonio. Both lived in Southeastern PA and eventually my grandfather settled in Chester, PA. I visited Torricella in 1989 while backpacking in Europe and stayed at the house where my grandfather was born. It is now owned by my fathers cousin Antonio who resides in Rome with his wife Caroline. I was fascinated. It's a great little town.

This June I'm taking my family to Italy for 2 weeks and we will be visiting Torricella for 2 to 3 days. I want to find some fun activities for the kids (mainly teenagers) in Abruzzi and the Torricella area. Any recommendations.
Grazie.
