| Message | Dear Carol D'Orazio, One way to get a Certificato di Nascita for your father or grandfather is to write to the Archivio di Chieti. They will issue it to you but I don't know if there is a charge. I am going there on Tuesday and can ask. The other way would be to write to the priest of the parish, Don Nerio, but he is less than helpful, and so you would not have any luck there. | Message | ciao!!! Hello there!! Well I am so happy I found your website! I hope you can help me getting what I need! Here is the thing: My greatgrandfather Nicola (Antonio) Dorazio, son of Domenico Dorazio and Concetta Troilo Dorazio, was born in february 9 of 1878 in Gessopalena, Chieti, Abruzzo. He immigrated to Brazil together with his father: Domenico in january of 1896. But his father Domenico went back to Italy two years later, leaving him in Brazil, where he lived until he died in 1964 ( 86yold). I would like to find out my relatives back in Italy, to help me out getting my greatgrandfather's birth certificate ou baptism certificate, wich i need for my italian citizenship process. Grazzie!! | Message | merci beaucoup pour ce joli site ...mon pere est né a colle zingaro, ma grand mere et mon grand pere sont enterré au cimetiere de torricella. mon pere est venu en france dans les années 50. je suis venu souvent en italie quand j'etais jeune, je me promenais dans les rues de torricella, et meme que ma cousine etait coiffeuse,j'allais souvent la rechercher pour rentrer a travers champs.c'etait magnifique!!! mon pere s'appelle DOMENICO PALIZZI, ces parents PALIZZI VINZENZO qui est mort en 1990 , et ma grand mère MARIA qui est morte en 1969 .je ne suis plus venu depuis 1987,en esperant peut etre des nouvelles de la famille ,ou quelqu'un qui connais la famille , j'en serais heureux.moi je suis en france mon prénom est UGO.a bientot peut etre? ciao........  |

| Message | Hello ! Your town is beatiful !! I found this lovely site simply by searching the web trying to find genealogy history about my Nonna. I'm not even certain she lived in Torricella Peligna. However I found information about another person doing a search with the same sirname D'Amico. My nonna's father was Antonio D'Amico and her mother was Donatangela D'Amico. Nonna (Angelina) was born in 1874. Angelina married my Nonno (Antonio Morelli). I do not know where or when. I believe they lived around Sulmona, Italy. My father Salvatore Dominic Morelli was born on Oct.13,1901 and moved to America around 1909-1910 with nonna. They lived in Milford,Massachusetts. Nonna died in 1958. Nonno died in 1962.There are no family records, so I'm trying every possibility to find there place of birth etc.It's not on their death certificates. I'm checking with social security and the local hospital. I would appreciate any help if there is a history of my ancestors in Torricella Peligna. Thank you, Sal Morelli (Grandson) |
