MessageHello, fellow Frothinghams! I just stumbled into this site and thought I'd add my voice. I grew up in Weston,Massachussetts, spent a lot of time in Maine and New Hampshire, and now reside happily in the San Francisco Bay area with my wife Tracy, where I am in the music business (I play the drums, write music and own a music rehearsal studio business). My dad was Charles Mifflin Frothingham, my brother is Edward and he has sons Peter, Charlie , Jason, and daughter Debbie. I've been in touch with others of us occassionally thru geneology channels, nothing extensive, tho' I learned some interesting things. Anyway, hope you all are well!

MessageLawrence (Larry) Everett Frothingham is the son of Everett Newell and Regina Blazek and Grandson of Warren and Louise Frothingham.

We have a few family pictures and we were very close to Gertrude Frothingham and still in contact with John Karahalis. Larry's dad Everett is in the back left of the Christmas picture on this site. We think we have other poses from that same day.

Everett was a Navy pilot and killed on the USS Missouri on February 10th 1945.

We have Everett's picture album. We sent pictures of Warren and Everett to the Plum Island Airport for display.

We will get a scanner (yikes - don't have one yet) and forward pictures to you. We also have family history from Aunt Gertrude - we will compare this to the site and send along information we can add. John Frothingham in OH wrote a family history and Aunt Gertrude sent us a copy - are you in touch with him? Aunt Gertrude was on very special lady and we miss her.

Can we print copies of pictures off the site?

This so exciting and we look forward to hearing from you. Larry and Laura Frothingham

MessageHello!
I am not exactly sure who I am writing to, but I felt the need to make an entry in your guest book.
I have been doing some research into my family history for about the past 5 years. I got a renewed interest this past week as my grandmother just passed away. Her name was Lucy Lee (Frothingham) Poole. she never knew anything about her father- her mother Italia Maria Lee married Huntington Wolcott Frothingham in 1922 and they had one child (my grandmother). their marriage lasted only a few years and the last time my grandmother saw her father she was 3yrs old. I am curious to learn what I can about the side of the family that was never spoken about. I am not sure if you can point me in the right direction. but I thought this was a place to startsmilie

I look forward to any info you can give me.
thanks
Jill

MessageMy mother, Phyllis Slade Burger, recently lost her home in Gulfport, MS during Katrina. I am trying to replace, among other things, her copy of The Genealogy of Frothinghams in New England 1850 by Thomas Goddard Frothingham, Boston Oct. 1, 1916 Printers-TR Marvin and Sons, Boston, Mass.

If you have any information concerning how/where I may purchase a copy of this book, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thank you,

Rebecca

MessageMy Uncle, Wilson McCuish, CAPT of the SF Tightline was a close friend of Warren and Via Frothingham. Although Wilson fished out of Annisquam, he and the Frothingham's were good tuna fishing buddies.

Please contact me at your convenience.

MessageHere is some of the information I mentioned before. Most of the Frothinghams that I am related to lived in Maine. My grandmother was Ada Frothingham (1920-2003), her father was William Leighton Frothingham (1893-1936), his father was William Osgood Frothingham (1863-1947), his father was William Ausgustus Frothingham (1830-1896) and his father was listed as Bradbury Frothingham from Haverhill, Massachusetts. His wife was Eliza Fergurson and they had five other children, Eliza M (1835-?), George E. (1836-?), Ann Matilda (1838-?), John Bradbury and Mary Caroline. I hope you can help me out! Cheers Bruce

MessageI viewed your Frothingham page and I wanted to contact you. My mother's side is Frothingham going back to a Bradbury Frothingham around the early 1800s. I believe he lived in Haverhill, Massachusettes. If you might have any information about this branch of Frothingham I would appreciate any information you might have to share. I have a web page with what info I have so far at the URL address: http://userweb.suscom.net/~clandonald1/genealogy1.html
I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers Bruce
