MessageGreat win on Saturday boys, keep battling next week and don't relax. The batting performance was a good all round team effort and a special effort from Chaps in the bowling as well as supporting contributions from the rest.

What is becoming more evident is the ability of everyone to contribute at different points. It is the teamwork that makes the difference.

Once again, well done, but don't take your foot off the gas until the season is over.

MessageJust time to say well done to both teams in recent weeks. Keep battling hard for every single point, it could quite easily be the difference between success and failure.

Some tough games to come in the next 4 weeks, but the opposition will need to see how tough we are to play against. Give nothing away and keep fighting all the way. We are in a good position, but not past any winning posts yet.

See you next week, and good luck this coming weekend.

MessageWell done to the 1st XI on Saturday - an important win. It was also very good to see other people stepping up and performing. There is now plenty of players who can win a game for us, rather than just 2 or 3. Gary Newall and Ross Acton's batting was superb and Joel Murphy is coming into form with the ball just at the right time. With all this, plus Chappell hopefully continuing his good season and Richard Foan due a big innings or 2, we should have a strong finish to the season.

Well done to the 1st XI and the club for a successful weekend.

Onwards and upwards!

MessageBatting at Premier level is tough, very few bad balls. Together with testing conditions makes it even more difficult to do what would often be expected to be easy.

The learning curve that the youngsters in the first team have been through is setting them in good stead for the future and we need the determination to take every point available. Less experienced players may have sacrificed the draw for a loss on Saturday and the points differential that goes with it!

I'll be away for the next three games, but there in spirit. Those games will go a long way to determining the destiny of one or two sides this season, but they will not determine the final destiny of any of them. So keep striving for every point, enjoy the battle and teamwork, and keep believing in your abilities and surprise a few sceptics out there!

See you boys when I'm back and good luck.
